I & J Management Services has considerable experience and expertise in working with Australian public libraries to review, plan for and implement community-focused strategies and plans.
We have a thorough understanding of research into the role of public libraries in strengthening communities, as well as first-hand experience in examining what library services are best attuned to the different needs of a particular community – taking into account the community’s demographic profile and the interests of stakeholder groups and library partners.
We have worked with many library services and regional libraries to review library service usage and costing, develop multi-year strategic plans, and guide Councils, library Boards and library service managers to identify and address local service needs.
This has involved:

conducting staff, stakeholder and community consultation
benchmarking library performance against similar libraries
compiling and analysing statistics and community profiles
conducting library user and community surveys
undertaking desktop research on trends in library service provision
